Las Vegas is one of the cities in the US where everything shines and appears new every time; where mega-resorts and implosions are made out of old hotels. Believe it or not, the sin city has a lot of history and many landmarks. So, when visiting Las Vegas make sure you pass through its history.

We have listed below our own top 10 Best Las Vegas landmarks to see.

1. Welcome to Las Vegas sign

The "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign" is Las Vegas Strip Landmark and it’s located in the median at 5100 Las Vegas Boulevard South. This sign was commissioned as far as May 1959 by Western Neon. Ted Rogich was the brain behind this landmark and allocated it to Betty Willis which was later sold to a local salesman in Clark County, Nevada.

2. Vegas Vic

Vegas Vic was erected in Las Vegas in 1951 by the Pioneer Club and this is the unofficial name for a neon sign resembling a cowboy. The sign is located at 25 E Fremont Street on the outside of what used to be The Pioneer Club.

3. Floyd Lamb State Park

This oasis of grass, ponds, and cottonwood trees has been popular from the times of prehistoric. Some of the things that have been found here include extinct camels, bison, horses, mammoths, giant sloths and more. You don’t have to be told that this place receives more visitors than a hooker on Fremont. This place has a lot of history, so make sure you bring your family along with you to take it all in.

4. Las Vegas Strip

The Las Vegas Strip is a 4.2-mile (6.8 km) stretch and many of the largest hotel, casino and resort properties in the world are located here. The cool part is out of the 25 largest hotels in the world, 19 of them are located here with the overall room count of 67,000 rooms.

5. Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort Historic Park

Las Vegas was served as a mail service trail stop between Salt Lake City and Los Angeles and in the year 1855, the Mormon Church built a permanent structure and settled in this area. This structure might look like a dirty old bricks but this is real history. They’re open to visitors interested in learning about Las Vegas’ past.

6. Fremont Street Experience

This is a pedestrian mall and attraction located in Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. The FSE also houses the westernmost 5 blocks of Fremont Street.

7. Bellagio Fountains

The Bellagio Fountains hotel and casino is a vast, choreographed water feature with performances set to light and music located at the front of Bellagio Hotel and Casino.

9. Las Vegas High School

Las Vegas High School was the city’s first high school and the only high school until the ‘50s when another one was built. This structure has also been placed on the National and State Register of Historic Places because it was such an overachiever.

10. Little Church of the West

This church was built in 1942, and it has become a celebrity hot spot. This is the wedding chapel to see if you’re obsessed with wedding pop culture.
