About Rocky Gap Road - Red Rock, Las Vegas

Rocky Gap Road, also known as Potato Ridge, is 8.2 trail miles long, located in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. It connects Lovel Canyon Road on the west side of the Spring Mountains to the Red Rock Scenic Loop on the east.

Due to its proximity and challenging obstacles, it is a popular trail among four-wheelers in the Las Vegas area. It is a rugged trail that seems to change every season depending on how the rain and snow from the winter will shape the path.

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area RRCNCA can be found just a few minutes west of Las Vegas. It covers 195,819 acres in the Mojave desert. Red Rock Canyon is a world-renowned area of geological interest and beauty. Increased visitor numbers can lead to increased injuries and damage. Read More September 1, 20,22.

Timed Reservations are required for vehicle entry onto the Scenic Drive between October 1 and September 1. Read More Our Mission
