About Il Toro E La Capra

A classic fusion of Italian and Mexican cuisine, Il Toro E La Capra offers a fresh taste of Italy with traditional Mexican ingredients. As you dine, enjoy the vintage rustic decor, hand painted murals and Italian antiques…and as the Silver Slipper commercial from the 80’s would say, “Tomorrow the diet – today the great buffet!”

A SUMMARY of the Story Il Toro E La Capra was inspired by Javier Barajas' love for Italy and his family. Il Toro E La Capra, named after Javier III his youngest son, and Jimena La Cabra The Goat, is the latest member of the Lindo Michoacan restaurant family. Barajas had always dreamed of opening an Italian restaurant that evokes the glamour and excitement of Las Vegas. Martin Scorsese's Casino. Barajas immigrated from Michoacan in Mexico to Las Vegas in the 1970s. He worked in restaurants that were loved by famous Italian American mobster Tony The Ant Spilotro, and the Hole in the Wall Gang. Barajas later visited Italy, where he learned classic Italian cooking methods. This may have been because I chose the wrong items, but my food was not good. However, I enjoyed my drinks. The shrimp enchiladas I chose was filled with tomatoes and very little shrimp. Another table ordered pasta dishes. They looked great, but I wasn't sure if they were good. It's not clear if I would be willing to return for anything.

It reminded me of Encanto's house. It was very nice, both in terms of the decor and atmosphere. Excellent food and excellent service. We'll be returning again. We will definitely be back!

My husband has the seafood risotto it had nice sized scallops, cooked perfectly, along with a generous serving of other kinds of seafood. I had the chicken picatta. It came with a dish of pasta and marinara. I figured it would be a boring side dish, but ... see more

Excellent atmosphere, prompt and attentive service. Great selection of menu items. I ordered the Pasta al Cognac. It is a cream sauce with tender steak and vegetables. Will be returning.
