Brio, which means "lively" or "full of life", was established in 1999 under the ownership of Chris and Rick Doody of Columbus, Ohio, as an extension to their already popular Bravo Italian Cucina. Brio was inspired by northern Italian food with lighter sauces, fresh fish, and grilled steaks and chops. BRIO brings the pleasure of the Tuscan country villa to the American city with interior details such as antique, hardwood Cypress flooring, arched colonnades, hand-crafted Italian mosaics, Arabescato marble-imported from Italy, and sizable wrought-iron chandeliers. At BRIO our motto is fashioned after the Tuscan philosophy- "To Eat Well is to Live Well".
