Legendary pizza maker Domenico DeMarco immigrated to New York from the Province of Caserta in Italy in 1959. Hailing from a family of bakers and master pizziaolos, he worked as a farmer on Long Island and in 1964, opened Di Fara Pizza on Avenue J in Brooklyn. 

For over 50 years, DeMarco and Di Fara Pizza have received lavish praise from internationally renowned food critics, and infamous chefs. This landmark has often been named “#1 Pizzeria in New York” and “Best Italian Restaurant” by prestigious publications including Zagat, New York magazine, and New York Daily News. OUR STORY Dom DeMarco's Pizzeria Bar is a joint venture between Albert Scalleat, a Las Vegas restauranteur, and Di Fara Pizza, Brooklyn's best-known pizza place. Domenico DeMarco's Pizzeria Bar and Di Fara Pizza has been praised by celebrities, food critics from around the world, and well-known chefs. This landmark is often voted No. 1 in NYC, despite fierce competition to be the Best Pizza.

The New York Daily News, Zagat and New York Magazine voted it the #1 Pizzeria and Best Italian Restaurant in New York. Dom DeMarco's Pizzeria Bar on the West Coast continues that tradition. It was voted Best New Pizzeria 2012 by SEVEN Magazine, and it was also voted the Best Pizza, Wings, and Casual Restaurant 2018 by Las Vegas Review Journal's Best of Las Vegas. Dom DeMarco has also been honored with local awards.

He served the 44th president of the United States, Barack Obama. In 2012, Obama requested Brooklyn-style pizza. Albert Scalleat provided 6 round, 6 square and 20 cannolis to him. Our menu still represents authentic Italian cuisine.

The Neapolitan style or New York pizza is popular, as well as the Sicilian Square pizza. But the most sought-after item in the town is our pasta. The entire menu, which includes the lasagna and rigatoni vodka as well as the Gram's meatballs or chicken parmigiana is homemade using 100 ingredients and our family recipes.
