Zhigang Wang, 22, moved to Tokyo at 22 and became a sushi chef in a Tokyo hotel. He worked in several big casino kitchens, such as the Aladdin or Orleans, before he moved to Las Vegas.
Wang stated that he began to learn how to cook with hibachi while working as a chef in the Mirage for eight years. Wang said that he combined his knowledge from Japan and Las Vegas in creating Ohjah Japanese Steakhouse.
