Can I ask about ingredients in your dishes? If you have any allergies, dietary restrictions, or need information about a specific menu item, contact us. Do your dishes contain monosodium glutamate? MSG Maggiano's doesn't add MSG to any of its products. Many of our foods contain naturally occurring glutamate such as hydrolyzed vegetable protein, gelatin and autolyzed yeast extract. These can cause monosodium glutamate reactions.
Any menu item which would exclude the possibility of consuming any of these additives is not recommended. Do your menu items contain soy? Many of our food products are made with soybean oil. Our fried foods use 100 percent soybean oil. High-refined soybean oil, which is considered to be allergenic by the FDA, is not required for labeling.
So, menu items containing highly refined soybean oils will not appear on the allergen guide as they contain soy unless there are other sources of soy protein, such as hydrolyzed soy or soy flour, miso and edamame. To determine if you need to avoid high-refined soybean oil, please consult your physician. Do you have information on which spices are used in a dish? We will send you a list with the ingredients if you let us know which menu items you are interested in. FDA labeling laws permit manufacturers to either list the spice under its usual or common name, but it can also be called spice.
