In 1975, Carolyn’s mother took her into the then newly established store, The Refinery, looking for a dress. It was then that Carolyn asked to work there part-time -- and was immediately hired.

In 1985, Carolyn purchased the store. At that time, it was just a little house downtown that had been converted into a boutique. It was the first resale store in Las Vegas. The Refinery has since moved to the Green Valley-Henderson area, and our customers have traveled with us.

The Refinery clientele is made up of prominent women and men in our global community. We love our locals and appreciate our relationships with the consignors traveling in and out of state cleaning out their closets.

As 2019 came, we launched our online retail operations. We can now bring more new merchandise to our loyal customers in Nevada and the rest of the world every day!
