Digital Decals became a huge success and the store was sold out by October. Digital Decals launched an online store in partnership with Unique Sports on the Jacksonville Mall.
Jan 2007, the entire holiday cash was redirected to the company by purchasing a heat press. This machine presses vinyl onto clothing. As they became more successful, the company began with only black and white shirts. They also used black and clear vinyl.
The company started with hoodies and then added zip-ups. They also added kids shirts, baby clothing, and any other item that customers asked for. Once it had been asked more than three times, the stock was increased. My Wicked Scents took over from Unique Sports.
They kept working until the store was too large for them. The Jacksonville Mall was closed by My Wicked Scents and Digital Decals in April. From opening the first store in Las Vegas' Boulevard Mall to witnessing the fallout of the recession, we went on. The store's first location was nearly empty after a year. Customistic moved to the second location in the mall. In February 2011, we were forced to relocate again.
Because mall management refused to honor their lease agreement or provide funds for the renovation, it was delayed. Angie had the nerve to stand up against General Growth Properties, the biggest retailer in the country, to force them to fix mold and get an A/C unit that works. Angie was able to return to school and be an award-winning mixed media artist as well as an activist by setting up shop in the same location. She also became involved in politics. The store was not only the location of our shop, but it also hosted the GMO Free Vegas meeting, LV Green Community Meetings and March Against Monsanto.
It is also the site of the March Against Corruption meetings. Our location is used to collect donations in support of Project 150. This project provides assistance for emergency responders and other people who are most in need. Every day, we honor our community's position and take it seriously.
