Sand Hollow State Park is located in Utah, USA, featuring a 1,322-acre reservoir and an extensive off-highway vehicle recreation area on Sand Mountain. The park is near the town of Hurricane. The park was officially dedicated in April 2003 and surrounded the Sand Hollow Reservoir.&nbsp;

With its warm, blue waters and red sandstone landscape, with a temperature that hovers around 86-81 degrees F from May through September, the Reservoir is the best place&nbsp;for skiing and other water sports activities. There are also designated picnic and camping areas.

There are two campgrounds to choose from in the area. First, the&nbsp;Sandpit Campground (ATVs allowed to drive in) offers nineteen&nbsp;dry camping sites, six power sites, and five group&nbsp;sites. Second&nbsp;is the Westside Campground, with&nbsp;50 sites with full hook-ups. All Campgrounds have a fire ring picnic table and restrooms with showers. Are off-highway vehicles allowed in the park? Yes. We are close to trails. However, most of the roads are maintained by counties and states which only allow street-legal vehicles. We recommend that you trailer your vehicle to various trailheads if your vehicle is not street legal. The visitor center offers both winter and summer equipment for rent. The most popular summer rentals are Fat Tire Bikes, fishing poles and Fishing Poles. Winter is the best time to rent snowshoes or cross country skis. Actual Conditions

Do I need a reservation to camp at the park?  Yes, we recommend reservations for all campers at Wasatch Mountain State Park.  The reservation website will give you pricing and campsite information.
Is the park friendly to off-highway vehicles?  Yes, we are surrounded by trails.  Most of the paved roads however are managed by county and state governments which require street legal vehicles only.  If your vehicles are not street legal we recommend trailering your machines to the various trailheads. 
What equipment is available to rent at the visitor center?  We rent both summer and winter equipment at the visitor center.  Fat Tire Bikes and fishing poles are the most frequently rented in the summer.  Snowshoes and Cross Country Skis are most popular in the winter.
