Water Wings - Summerlin

Our Summerlin Location is a 10,000 square foot indoor facility, located conveniently off the 215 freeway and Flamingo. Opening our doors in June 2017, this state of the art facility is our largest location with 2 pools. Our main teaching pool is a junior olympic size, 5 lane, salt water lap pool, heated to a comfortable 88 degrees. 

We also have a smaller, more intimate teaching pool just to the right for our little swimmers.  Heated to a comfortable 92 degrees, it is perfect for our babies and little guys. 

Our facility is also equipped with a large private party room, parent viewing room, restrooms, showers, a snack bar and retail shop.

Water Wings is a year round swim school with indoor heated pools, that caters to the needs of children and adults of all ages and abilities. From beginner classes to advanced swimming lessons, Water Wings has a program for every student.

Water Wings Swim School celebrates 15 years of excellence in swimming. Avi Shafshak and Tracy Shafshak own and operate the school. Our first location was opened in April 2003 at the Merryhill Private School in Las Vegas. Six indoor locations are currently available in Nevada, California, and Idaho. A year-round approach to swimming strengthens the ability to be a confident and relaxed swimmer.

Most of our clients are encouraged to attend group sessions once or twice per week. They should also do it on an ongoing basis. Consistent and constant exposure to water will make swimming enjoyable and beneficial for your family. Our program is open to swimmers of all abilities and ages, from 3 months old through adults.

Water Wings Swim School has been a member since 1988 of the United States Swim School Association. This trade organization is for operators of swim schools. The Water Wings Swim school believes having fun is the best way to learn how to swim. A child who enjoys swimming will be more willing to learn how to do it safely.

Avi Tracy Shafshak, the owner of this swim school is a businessman and teaches swimming. Tracy Shafshak, Avi's wife, is a coach, child psychologist, and competitor in swimming. They make an excellent team together, sharing a love for teaching and a passion for the water. Their favorite aspect of their jobs is teaching children and adults to swim.

Facilities Water Wings Swim School encourages a year round approach to swimming. Our facilities are heated indoors to 90°C and have changing areas, toilets and showers. You can also find snacks, beverages, toys and accessories in our convenient retail space. The School's Friendly and Knowledgeable Staff of Professional Instructors Our friendly, knowledgeable team of teachers and customer service representatives makes up our school.

The school's enthusiastic teaching staff is available to assist throughout the year. This allows them to keep their knowledge and skills up-to-date even after summer ends. Water Wings Swim School requires that all of our teachers and staff undergo extensive training.
