Every pet hotel guest has access to our indoor play park, with 6 large screen televisions showing Doggie Cartoons, Animal planet, and Jazz music during nap times. All Guests are rotated to visit our outdoor play park throughout the day.

Our Pet Resort Home About Our Pet Resort Where pets and their owners can experience luxury and comfort. Shana Davis was born in Las Vegas, just a few blocks from the South Rainbow and West Sahara locations. Because of her passion for animals, Shana went to the pet shops almost every day as a child. Shana eventually transferred to UNLV and received her degree. She wanted to be close to her family.

She started her own business after graduation but realized she was still passionate about animals. In fact, 5 rescues of chihuahuas were made by her. She would adopt any and all dogs she saw, no matter how small, in order to save them. Shana left town for a family holiday on Thanksgiving 2008.

Her dogs had never been boarding at dog boarding facilities before. I was aware of the horror stories that dog boarders have told me and decided not to allow my dogs to be boarded. She trusted her vet at the time but realized that this wouldn't be the ideal situation. Shana was unable to bear thinking of her pets in a safe, but isolated, area so she cut short her family vacation to take care of her five chihuahuas.

Shana knew there had to be more. After a successful first business venture, Shana felt it was time for a second one. In order to make it easy for people to travel and see family, I bought a dog-boarding facility. As a starting point, I considered every Las Vegas pet hotel or kennel.

After looking through every one, I decided that there was no facility in my area. Since then, it has been an amazing journey. Shana founded LV Dog Resort in 2009. She realized that there wasn't enough dog boarding facilities or hotels capable of caring for every guest like their own.

Because she was certain that dogs would not enjoy being kept in cramped cages for long periods of time, large and spacious suites were the best choice. Shana spent 5 years building a staff that is extremely compassionate towards dogs and other animals. Each member of our staff has at least four dogs at home. Because I care deeply about every dog, I believe I am able to make this business a success. Every dog is unique and I am able to understand that. Dogs are not always friendly, so staff must be available to help them. When their parents are gone, I assume the role as mommy and will take them to the vet to check them out if they feel unwell.

As a mommy, I make sure that everyone feels safe and happy. This pet hotel, LV Dog Resort, and the ability to fulfill this lifetime dream make me so proud. Once a family visits LV Dog Resort, they don't want to leave. They realize how much better it is to take care of their pets as if they were ours.

Founded in 2009, LV Dog Resort was founded by a Las Vegas couple who struggled to find the right dog boarding facility. There were so many choices and prices to consider, there was no way to make the right choice. The Davis family found 2 possible boarding options after taking several vacations. They didn't want to abandon their dogs with friends or neighbors.

They noticed that Boo Boo Boo and Gizzy and Baby would be anxious when they returned home. Shana, along with our pet-loving staff, wanted to make a hotel where owners and dogs could be comfortable and feel like they were part of the LV Dog Resort family. Our in-door play area is available to all pet hotel guests. It has 6 large Screen Televisions that show Doggie Cartoons and Animal Planet, as well as Jazz music at nap times. All guests are allowed to use our outdoor playground throughout the day. This unique idea of offering the finest services, luxurious amenities, and specialty products all under one roof has created an amazing lifestyle for dogs as well as their owners.
