The water level in Lake Mead has dropped significantly from last year.

The overlook near the dam was better. This one showed the marina, a receding lake Mead, and a tunnel through the hills that used to be used for supplies but now seems to be used as a hiking trail. We didn t get to go hike it but that would have been cool.on Tue Feb 21 2023

The Hoover Dam has been closed due to all the happenings. This gives you great views of the lake. Although it's not possible to see it unless you climb down, but recommended to enjoy the view on your way to the grand cayon

Beautiful views from the overlook with views over the marina and lake. There are 8 spots available for parking and plenty of shoulder space for RVs and Tour Buses to park. However, there is no designated place for large vehicles so don't stay too long.

The temperature was 109F, but it was a beautiful view of Lake Mead. The Dam was closed at the time so we ended our journey here

There are very few social distancing or masks. Spectacular views over lake Mead. We can't believe all the viewing is restricted Why is it closed?

The Lake Mead Lakeview Overlook can be found as you drive to Hoover Dam. This is an ideal spot to pull off the road and take pictures of Lake Mead. It is windy and difficult to find parking, but it is worth it.
